Welcome to Nobold (Meole Village) WI
A bit about ourselves; we are a group of 30 women of all ages who come together for friendship, learning activities and the chance to make a difference. The WI offers all kind of opportunities to all kinds of women. Our meetings help you to expand your horizons and make new friends, take up new interests, learn new crafts and develop new skills. It is 54 years since our institute was formed and this year we shall be celebrating our 500th meeting.
We hold 11 monthly meetings each year at which we have a very varied array of speakers on lots of different subjects, see our programme page for details. We organise trips and meals out and take part in group outings and activities. In the summer months we enjoy evening walks. We regularly exhibit at the Shrewsbury Flower Show in a wide range of categories for which we have had great success winning many classes in both individual and group categories.
Your membership entitles you to monthly copies of the National WI membership magazine, ‘WI Life’, which is posted to you. You also receive regular newsletters at our meetings to keep you up-to-date with all the news and events from the Shropshire Federation.
The annual subscription is currently £39.00 and a monthly meeting charge of 50p.
Your first visit would be free then £4 per meeting unless you become a member.
Joining a WI means belonging to something special, making friends and having fun. So why not give it a go, you would be made most welcome.
